Letter From Dan Preston

July 3, 2020

Greetings all and Happy Sabbath!  Last week's memory verse was Revelation 13:4 (NKJV), "So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?"" See if you can break in pieces the clues below for this week's memory verse.

Lots to watch for

Last week we began a two part series discussing the identifying characteristics of the end time Beast Power.  As we continue with that series tomorrow, hopefully, you've been more in tune with the news of the world, and keeping an eye on events as they unfold.

It's important for us as faithful followers of Christ to do this.  In the days of kings of the past, it was obvious who kings were and where their kingdoms were located.  But in the days of these end time kings the Bible speaks of, they will be harder to spot!

More to come

As things progress toward the end time, the Bible tells us a new kingdom will arise.  In fact, it will be a resurrection of the ancient Roman empire.  But unlike the original Roman empire, which was pictured as sturdy legs of iron, this new kingdom will be weaker, like iron mixed with clay.

This kingdom will not stand, however.  It will be break into pieces and be consumed, along with all other kingdoms of the world, by a more powerful kingdom which shall never be destroyed.

One final kingdom

This new kingdom will be the final one that the Earth sees.  It will not get weak over time, or be left to other people, or be destined to be conquered by someone else.  Rather, it will consume all other kingdoms, and stand forever.  It is of course, the Kingdom of God!

As we watch Bible prophecy unfolding before us, let us pray to the God of heaven, that the kingdoms of men soon pass away, and that He send his son, Jesus Christ, to establish a kingdom that shall never be destroyed!
