Also, at this time, we lived through very significant times. Just a week or so ago, we saw the Supreme Court passing a very controversial, put it mildly, statement of overturning Roe versus Wade. And I know we can thank God for that, but regrettably, there's no repentance.
There's no repentance. What we see is more bitterness, more antagonism, and the possible spark to even more civil unrest. So, it's like a two-edged sword. You know what I mean? It is a blessing, but it has some serious consequences. And who knows? Maybe that's, as I mentioned, the spark to a lot worse things coming.
We live in a difficult time, a time in which we as a nation, but not just we as a nation, the whole world, because the United States is supposed to be an example to the world, and not just the United States. The nations of Israel are supposed to be an example to the world. And you've probably seen the picture of an admiral of the Navy with the spokesperson of the White House with a rainbow flag. And when you look at that and you know what that admiral represents by his conduct, I feel like vomiting.
Imagine what God feels like doing. And I was talking to somebody in Brazil, and he was telling me, that is why America is disdained by a lot of other countries today. That, I thought, was a very powerful statement. And particularly countries like Russia and China that hate that, and in some of the games, world games, that are coming up, they are already declaring they will have none of those statements in there. So we are approaching a time of great chaos in this country and in the whole world.
Because the statement quite often is, says you, as America sneezes, the whole world catches a cold. This is not going to be a sneeze. This is going to be serious troubles as it is prophesied that is going to come upon us. Serious troubles. Our nation is divided, but so are many other nations completely divided. Internally, political parties, you can see in Israel itself, you see in France as well. If you look at other gentile countries like Brazil, it's split in half.
This is signs of trouble. Because when you have this 49, 51, or 51, 49, whatever it is, there's this conflict. And that is going to ignite to something worse in this country and in other countries. We also have seen as of recent great illnesses, the pandemic. But if you keep your eyes open, there's other diseases kind of starting to rear its head like monkeypox.
And I don't know what else that is starting to rear its head. And when you put all this together, brethren, we are at the beginning of great pain. This is the beginning of great woes to come. And so, yes, with the situation of Roe versus Wade, we could be grateful and we should. But personally, I am sobered because this is going to trigger a lot of civil unrest in this country.
And who knows what's next? What do we have, brethren, is that we as a nation, we as a nation, have failed miserably to be an example to the whole world. We really have failed. There is no excuse because God has blessed us enormously. God has blessed us beyond measure. And I know many of us say, oh well, I brought it upon myself the blessings. Well, we've seen leaders say that.
And we do not bring ourselves these blessings. God blessed us. So, what is the end result of this, brethren? It's the beginning of sorrows, as I mentioned. And the result is that a great tribulation is around the corner. The result is that if God would not intervene, no human being would be saved alive. Put it another way. It would be the end of the world. See, when people say, well, there's going to be the end of the world, it would be if there was no God. Turn with me to Matthew 24, verse 11.
And then I read, and then there'll be many false prophets. And then a little later, it says in verse 22, And unless those days would be shortened, no flesh would be saved. Put it another way. If that climax of events that is going to happen would not be contained one way or another, because it's interesting if you read the actual word, shortened. Quite often, we think it means that those three and a half years will become maybe a little less. But the Greek word means that as it comes to a time at the end, those days will be, the danger will be contained, will be restricted.
So that could be the meaning there as well. So unless those days right at the end, and we know that the Great Tribulation, which runs for three and a half years, at the end of two and a half years, on the last year, will be what we call the Day of the Lord. So there will be that Great Tribulation will be kind of limited in the power of the beast and a false prophet, because now God is intervening, and a number of things are starting to happen, which is the symbolism of the Day of Trumpets, and all those seven trumpets that happened during that last year.
So if God would not intervene, we would indeed have the end of the world.
But thanks to God, He loves us, and He has a great plan for us, and He wants us, He wants you and I in His kingdom as His children. But why, therefore, are we encountering these problems? Well, in Matthew 24 itself, a little later, in verse 37, says why? In verse 37, because it says, in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying, giving marriage, until the day that nowhere entered the ox. Sorry, I should be reading 37, not 38. For He says, for as the days of nowhere, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man be.
So what happened in the days of nowhere? What was the condition in the days of nowhere? Because that ties in why we're having these problems. So we have to look back to Genesis, Genesis 6, Genesis 6, verse 11 and 12. Genesis 6, verse 11 and 12. The earth was corrupt before God. Brethren, the society today is corrupt before God.
Oh, we've got to be political correct and not say that. Well, that's what God says. It's corrupt. Society is corrupt.
And so God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt.
For all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. All flesh. Oh, some people wonder, well, maybe we need to, just on our TV programs, we need to cry aloud more and whatever, say more things so that more people come to church. Brethren, the whole society is corrupt.
You can stand on your head and people would not repent.
Okay, some will, but very few.
Of which some of those few are you and I, or us. But you and I can stand and scream, and nobody will listen. And I'm not saying we mustn't do that. Cry aloud, spare not. But if you read that verse, it says, cry aloud, spare not. It's talking to the church, to the people, to God's people. So, the wall is sick.
And the end result was the violence. It says it was corrupt and filled with violence.
I mean, you saw just a week ago or so when this announcement was made, they went around and broke things and broke windows, and nobody was punished for it.
It's filled with violence.
Do you know what?
It's gonna get worse. But that's not good news. I don't enjoy telling you that, that it's gonna get worse.
I sigh and cry, and I bet you do too, for the sins that have been committed in our nation and in the wall in general. You see, it's not just America. The whole world is getting corrupt.
The whole flesh has corrupted itself. Why? Why? Because you and I have, and mankind has, a carnal mind. When it's not checked, it just goes wild.
You see, the problem is, we have a brain which is very competent and capable. God's given us an amazing brain that is really smart.
You look at the technology we have and the things we can do today, but when that is taken to a point which is apart from God, it leads to bad news. And that's what's happening. The human reasoning apart from God. Now, there's nothing wrong with human reasoning provided it is guided according to God's principles and God's laws.
But when it is apart from God, it's a disaster. Human reason has become perverted.
And that's what Christ was saying in Matthew 24, like in the days of Noah.
You read in the days of Noah, Noah preached. Okay, the instruction came to him and he had an instruction for about 120 years. We know that because it says, you know, mankind will be given another 120 years than he had and maybe he didn't start preaching immediately. But whatever many years the ark took to build, maybe 70 years, maybe 100 years. And he preached and he preached righteousness. How many people repented and went into the ark with Noah?
Okay, his family went, but that's kind of because he told them to go, maybe. But really, nobody repented. Like in the days of Noah, so it is today. So you and I preach.
And how many people repent? Like in the days of Noah, the world is against God.
And this is basically the situation from the beginning.
I don't have to tell you, but you remember there's a story of two trees. Do you remember that? And there were two trees, a tree of life and a tree of knowledge of good and evil.
I call it a tree of life and a tree of death. You see, because the way of death is a little bit of truth with a little bit of lie, a little bit of good and a little bit of evil. Mixed, that's the way of death. That is the way of the society. Oh, yes, these politicians and all these people, what they do, they say things. There's got enough truth in it that appears to be truthful. And then inject just a little subtle lie on and a little subtle lie, etc. And there you go, off the tracks. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil. In other words, is your cleverness, human reasoning, apart from God, being so subtle because it's inspired by Satan, saying a lot of truth, but a little bit of arsenic, of poison, of evil, of evil, which is enough to lead you to death. And there's nothing new. You look at Deuteronomy 30. Start in verse 15. Deuteronomy 30 verse 15.
You probably remember that off by heart. See, I've said before you, life and good, death and evil.
God has given us freedom of choice. Oh, do you know what that means?
God is pro-choice. Choose life. He gives you a choice to choose life or choose death. He's pro-choice, but he's pro-life as well. They're not opposites. He tells us choose, choose life. And then he says, in that I command you today to love the Lord your God and walk with you. And walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes and his judgments that you may what? Love. Be happy. Be joyous.
And multiply. And the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you go and possess. But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away and worshiped by the gods and serve them, I announce you today that you shall surely perish.
There's no doubt. Oh, yeah, you have choice. Surely choose.
Life and good, or death and evil. You and I are freedom of choice, but remember there are consequences.
Remember there are consequences. Verse 19. I call heaven and earth as a witness. Today against you that I have set before you life and death blessing and cursing. It's your choice. You can have love and be blessed, or you can have death and be cursed. What do you choose?
It's your choice. It's my choice. It's our choice.
But God expresses his desire. He says, please, for your own good, that you and your descendants may love, please, choose life. I want you to choose life because I want to bless you. You know, I've got a pen that somebody gave me, and in this pen says Jeremiah 29 verse 11.
So it's got a little statement there, Jeremiah 29 verse 11. Let's quickly read Jeremiah 29 verse 11.
Jeremiah 29 verse 11.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you. That's God talking, says the Lord. Thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and hope.
Wow.
God says, choose life. God wants you and I to have a future.
Eternal life is a future. It's clearly a future without end of happiness and joy. And hope, that is the hope you and I have.
But you see, brethren, we've got freedom of choice. We've got a free will.
Why do you have free will? Oh, people that say God does not exist, they say, well, if God existed, you would not allow this suffering.
Do you know what those people are saying?
If God existed, you would be a robot. You would not have free moral agency. Because...
Why? Because you have free moral agency. You can obey God's laws, you can break them. If you break them, there are consequences. It's like this. I have a watch here. If I drop it and I break the law of gravity, it will fall. That's a fact. That's a consequence.
So... People that say in the world that, well, if God existed, there would be no suffering. What they're saying is, if God existed, you could not have free moral choice. Because suffering is the result of sin, of course. But why sin? It's because people have free moral choice. That's why it says, choose... I'd set before you life and death, good and good. Good and evil. Choose life.
You see, brethren, people forget God's plan.
You see, God's plan is to make you children of God with thinking capabilities like He Himself, like your children and my children. Have thinking capabilities like us.
They're not robots. And you want your children to learn to make the right decisions. And sometimes you have to give them certain liberties to learn. To learn. To learn through the lesson of hard knocks, which is experience. And then once they've burnt and they say, look, it actually heating my head against the wall, it actually... it's sore. I better not keep heating my head against the wall. You see, if you tell them, don't hit the head against the wall, they will say, no, I won't. You can't tell me I can't do whatever I want.
So God says, hit your head against the wall. And then you'll come to realize that you and I need to repent, turn, and listen to the law that works. So what does God require of you? What does God require of us? Let's go back to Deuteronomy chapter 10. Deuteronomy chapter 10.
Deuteronomy chapter 10, verse 12 and 13. And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? Oh, God's people, God's church, what does the Lord your God require of you? What is it that I must do but to fear God, to have deep, profound respect for God, and to walk in all His ways and to love Him?
And to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep His commandments of the Lord and His statutes that command you today? For what reason?
For your good.
Back to that little scripture. For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope. That is love.
The love of a parent. Whether he's a dad or a mom, it's genuine love.
But what is happening? What is happening to us today?
Romans chapter 3 verse 16. Just like in the days of Noah, this is what's happening today. Romans chapter 3 verse 16.
Destruction and misery are in your ways, are in our ways, are in our society. What do we see ahead of us? Destruction and misery. It's a mess ahead of us. Oh yeah, you and I can be grateful that something was overturned. But the people haven't repented.
And because there's no repentance, it means nothing to God.
Destruction and misery are in your ways. And the way of peace they've not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes. What does God require of you? First, the trigger is respect for God. People today have no respect for God.
And so there is a lack of the right fear. It's not dread. God doesn't want you to have terror and dread of him. He wants you to have a godly fear, a respectful, loving respect for his authority because he, as our heavenly dad, only wants the best for us. And his instructions and his laws are for our good. And so we need to respect him. But what do we have today? We have a basic attitude of irreverence, of disrespect, and disdain against God's will and God's authority. And it is prevalent today in society at whatever level of society you are, whether you reach or pour. You see, brethren, there's something seriously wrong with our society today because there's hatred, there's crime individually, families, suicides, but across the nation and across the world. And at an international level, there's supercriminal dictators, which all they want to do is have war and power and more power for themselves. And it's hard for you and I to believe that this is what's in the heart of these people. Oh, no, can't be. They must be nice. Nice when it's their way. In other words, is a narcissist in power, in world power.
Oh, yeah, they know how to come across nice. They know how to appear nice. They know how to do or make everybody else think they're such nice people. But dare cross them and boy, oh boy, you have unleashed a little demon. No, maybe not a little, a big demon. And this is the time that we're living today. Look in 2 Timothy chapter 3. 2 Timothy chapter 3.
Starting from verse 1. But we know this that in the last days, brethren, these are the last days. I'm not here to say times, but brethren, the Lord is not delaying His coming. Oh, yeah, 40 years ago, we thought that was kind of, well, it's going to be. Maybe we've had a reprieve of 40 years of time and testing for 40 years, you know, or more.
But now there'll be no further delay. You know the scripture. There will be no further delay. This is it. Or people say, oh, well, how'd you know it happened before? It never happened before like it's happening today. Never, never, never. And so in the last days, perilous times will come. That's difficult times. That's really very great times of stress. If you look on your margin in some of your Bible, some King James, New King James says, perilous has got a little note next to it. And then on the margin says, times of stress. Boy, do we have stressful times or no. These are stressful times.
And he says, for men, who be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents. That means to dad and to mom. Unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving. I've come across some people that I was counseling and I said, I will not forgive. And this person was talking about his or her daughter, so I don't want to mention in what country the person was, whatever it was, but this person says, I will not forgive, thinking of the child. See, that's the age we're living. If we don't forgive, how can we be forgiven?
slanderous, without self-control, brutal, despisive, good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.
You see, brethren, this is a society we're living. People are selfish, people are arrogant, people are immovable in their own stubbornness. And look a bit further in verse seven. Always learning. Oh yeah! Today, there's increasing knowledge. Well, you want to find out how to do something? Well, just google it. And you know everything. The knowledge is right there.
But knowledge is not wisdom. You see, wisdom is the correct application of knowledge. So just knowledge is not enough, because they're not applying it correctly. Why? Because they're breaking God's laws. You see, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Isn't that true today? They have gone so far away from the truth that now, today, they don't even know a basic difference between a man and a woman.
I mean, that is the basic building grounds of what is, you know, IOB. Never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Look at verse 8, towards the end of verse 8. So now, as these two people resisted Moses, okay, so today, do these also resist the truth? And if you say, well, killing a baby in a mother's womb is murder, oh no, it's my choice. It's murder!
It's a life that you're taking away, a future son and daughter of God. Thank God that child will be resurrected. Thank God.
But it's murder. You read in Exodus where it talks about life for life. You read that scripture in Exodus where it's talking about that, life for life. You read the context. It's talking about two men fighting and the woman gets in the middle and they kill the baby in the womb and they say life for life. That proves from the Bible that killing a baby in the womb is murder.
And so, continue to read in verse 8, these people resist the truth.
I mean, how difficult it is when the baby is born to look and see whether it's a boy or a girl.
I think we all can see that.
But they resist the truth. They are people of corrupt minds disapproved concerning the faith.
Look at verse 13.
This is the time of the end, but evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse. Oh yeah! Oh, we can make some concessions. It bears no fruit because they are against God. They hate one thing.
God. That's what they hate. They hate God. So, everything of value, of good principles, of godly ethics, they'll be against it.
Because they hate God. But in other words, they have no fear of God.
That's the beginning. A deep fear and respect for God. You see, brethren, mankind has got a mind and a heart that is corrupt and deceitful. You probably know of a heart. Jeremiah 17 verse 9. A heart that is desperately corrupt and wicked.
And on the other side, we're full of wisdom. Oh, we think. Because the wisdom of the world, which is based on knowledge of the world, which is based in lacking God's wisdom, it just gives them a big head, which is basically pride and arrogance. And so the problem is basically theological. It's a lack of fear of God. It involves a spirit of doing what I want to do regardless. I do what I want to do. That's what we read. Lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. That's what it is. And so on one side, we have this. And on the other side, what we have, we have the need to develop godly, righteous character. That's what it is.
And character is knowing what's right and wrong, defined by God, and having the strength and willpower to do what is right, regardless how much you may feel to do what's wrong. And that's what we have. Selfishness, desires of pleasure, and the need to overcome, to develop godly, righteous character. In other words, as Peter put it, to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. That's basically developing godly character. That's what we're going to do.
You see, you know, you've read often, you probably can quote, of Pahart, if I tell you, there is a way that seems right unto the man, and to a man, but the end thereof is death. And you probably can quote of Pahart, Proverbs 14 verse 12. So what is the solution, Brethren?
What is the solution?
You know, James is a very powerful book, or should I say, a very powerful epistle. And in fact, they all are very powerful. But let's look at James chapter 4, starting in verse 1. James chapter 4, starting in verse 1. Where do wars and fights come from among you? Now let me ask you, who is James talking to? Is he talking to pagans? Is he talking to the world?
Or is he talking to God's church?
You just have to read James chapter 1 verse 1, and you'll see who's addressing. He's addressing God's people, and he's saying, why do wars and fights come among you members of God's church? Oh, have we had wars and fights amongst us in God's church? But why are there so many so-called churches of God?
Because there's been some big heads and strong worlds, and therefore there have been disagreements and division, which is not the spirit of God. Oh, yeah, they teach the same things. Let's look at the Genesis. What started?
Was the Genesis based on lies and falsehood? Oh, and then they say, oh well, we just want to reconcile. You've got to repent first.
Why do wars and fights come among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure? Dead war in your members.
You want your own things. You lust and you do not have. You're murdered and covered and cannot obtain. Oh, people in God's church, when have they murdered?
Then Christ, in the sermon on the Mount, amplified God's laws and said, if you have an evil thought, it's basically murder.
So if we have evil thoughts, if we speak bad of our brothers and sisters, isn't that murder? And that's why it says you fight in war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. Why? Because you don't have the right spirit. You do not ask for humility. You do not ask and a serving attitude. And sometimes it requires, you know, it requires being humbled. And sometimes, kind of, yeah, people will treat you badly sometimes. And you just have to grin and bear it.
You're asking you not to receive because you ask amiss that you may spend it in your own pleasures.
And then look at verse 5. Well, do you think that the Spirit says in vain, the Spirit who which dwells or called the Spirit in you that dwells in you yearns jealousy. What a scripture that is so misunderstood. You see, because God's Spirit is not a carnal, fleshly, jealous spirit. Yes, God is jealous for you because He loves you and He wants all good for you. But that is a good jealousy. This is talking about the Spirit of man in man that dwells in you that He is based on a carnal mind that dwell that has and yearns for jealousy. That's what it's talking about. A Spirit that you want certain things, as it says in verse 2, He says you want certain things, you desire certain things, you lust for certain things. And because of that, you have fights and wars because we've allowed our carnal minds to rule over us. You see, we've got to overcome. We've got to develop godly character. We've got to overcome the carnal mind.
And so what is the solution, brethren? The solution is, starts, believe it or not, by having to learn to forgive.
Why are there wars? Because there's a difference of opinions, etc., and we have to forgive. In other words, for you and I to be forgiven, you need Christ's suffering. As we heard in the sermon, we need those stripes that will heal us. We need Christ's blood, Christ's suffering, Christ's stripes.
And let me ask you, what did Christ do wrong?
Was Christ badly treated? I bet so.
Did he fight back? No.
And he paid for our sins so we can be forgiven. Have we sinned? Yes.
All men have sinned. But we need to be forgiven. But it says, you read in the section, which I call it the model prayer, but the world calls it the Lord's Prayer, it says, forgive our trespasses, and forgive them that trespass against us. Forgive our sins as we forgive others. Do we forgive?
Christ forgives us. So the solution for this problem starts by the fact that you and I have been forgiven, and we need to forgive others, because if we don't forgive others, we will not be forgiven. And therefore, world peace requires the payment for the wages of sin. And the wages of sin is death. Romans 6, 23. Christ's death paid for our sins. Therefore, you and I are made right with God by Christ's sacrifice. Gratas. Not because I'm a very nice little boy or a very nice little girl. Now granted, once we've been made right with God, it's responsible and accountable to us to return to God by doing what He tells us. So yes, first we are justified by faith. Romans 3 verse 20. Romans 3 verse 28. We're justified by faith. But those that keep God's laws will be justified. Romans 2 verse 13, if I'm not mistaken. So we need to forgive. We need to forgive so that we can be forgiven. And so what is the way to peace? Forgiveness. Isn't that what Christ did for us? And think about it.
When you look at God's plan of salvation, which is symbolized by God's holy days, right? What is the first festival? Passover. And what is that? God forgiving us. That is the beginning. Now of course, you need to respect God and all these other things, the fear of God, but it begins from forgiveness. We have the ministry of reconciliation. Yeah, sure. But you know what? Do you have to forgive? Yes. What if the other person has not repented? You still have to forgive? Yes.
Forgiveness is something you've got to do, seventy times seven. Imagine if he keeps doing that to you seventy times seven every day. You've got to forgive every day seventy times seven. Well, he's done it a lot of times to you, or she's done a lot of times to you every day. The point is, we have to forgive regardless. Now reconciliation is different.
It takes two to tango. I mean, today's dance doesn't take two, but tango takes two. Right? So reconciliation requires both to be in sync. You and I are justified towards God, but now we need to repent and do what's pleasing in His sight, obeys commandments, and do what's pleasing in His sight. So we need to repent so that there is reconciliation with God. He's forgiven us on the condition that we forgive, but He's forgiven us before we were even born, before we even sent. He'd already forgiven you and I. Right? I mean, Christ died long before you and I were born, a few years ago. Right? But long before, so He's forgiven us already. But there is one condition.
You will be forgiven provided you forgive.
But reconciliation requires we both to work together. There is a difference there. There is a difference. So the first point we have is we need to forgive. The second point is that we've got to change our heart. Now, can you change your heart? Can I change my heart? No. Only God's Spirit can. You read Paul when he wrote in Romans 7. He says, I've got this thing, this law in my members fighting against the law of my mind. What does he mean? The law of his members is his carnality in his members, but the law in his mind, because God's Spirit was working with his mind and saying, don't do it. And so there is the struggle and continuous struggle. And then Paul said, what a wretched man I am. Remember that at the end of chapter 7 in Romans? What a wretched man! Who will rescue me from this situation? Thanks to Christ. And then you go into Romans 8, verse 1, and it says, therefore there is no condemnation if you and I are trying to follow God. Why? Because God knows you're trying, and you are forgiving, and he's going to forgive you, and through the power of his Spirit, he's going to give you the help and the strength to overcome. That's why he says, if you have got Spirit, and if you fall in the Spirit, you read Romans 8. That's what it says. If you follow God's Spirit, and God's Spirit is working with you, which is the Spirit of the Father, which is the Spirit of Christ, it's the same Spirit, there's only one Spirit. It's God's essence, God's Spirit. It comes from the Father through Jesus Christ to us. That's why we are the children of God. And therefore God's Spirit writes in our hearts and in our minds God's laws and God's principles. You see, God's Spirit is changing our hearts. So the second point is we've got to change our hearts and our way of thinking with the help of God's Spirit. And what does that mean? That means that you and I have to strive and overcome, and yes, we trip, and now and again we fall unintentionally through our weaknesses, through our weaknesses of the flesh, or whatever. But our heart and intent is to do what's right. And so we stand up and get back on our knees to God's throne and say, God, please help me. In the new and living way, Hebrews chapter 10, round about verse 25 or so, it says in the new and living way we have access to the Holy of Holies to God's very throne. And we ask for His help. And God gives you more of His Spirit because God gives the Spirit to those that obey Him. Acts 5 verse 32. I beg your pardon. Yeah, Acts 5 verse 32. Yeah. So what do we have? We've got to forgive, obviously, under the always. The principle that we have respect for God. We've got to forgive. We've got to change our heart of God's Holy Spirit. And we've got to rely that only Christ will solve the problems. Christ has to come back just like He came to forgive us. Christ has to come back and to punish these nations. The nations are going to fight Christ. Only He can resolve our problems.
We have a real problem in a lot of us, brethren, and I mean it in the church. Many of us in the church get involved in politics, thinking that that's going to make a difference. It's going to make zero difference. The only solution is Christ. It's the government of God through Christ executed on earth. It's not the government of this leader or of that party or the other one, whatever it is, they will do zero. They'll only cause more problems, whatever they are, only the government of God through Christ's ruling on earth. So do not get involved in politics. I am tired of people in the church continuously saying, well, how this and that and that and that. If you are thinking that way, you've got the wrong mindset. You've got to change. You've got to repent. You've got to rely on God. I'm sorry if I'm talking a little loud. I apologize. But the zeal of the Lord, I'm blaming him. I'm sorry. He's working in my spirit as well. So so, so, brethren, our only hope is Christ is the kingdom of God. And that's what we've got to work on. You know, you read at the end of Second Peter that says, for God, a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day. Brethren, seven thousand years is a millennial week. We are at the end of the six thousand years since the creation of Adam and Eve. We are approaching the millennial Sabbath, which is when Christ will come and rule on earth.
Christ will intervene.
The millennium is around the corner. It is our only hope. We are to pray. We are to focus. We are going to be committed to that. That is our hope and goal. And I want to close with Isaiah 55 verse 6 and 7. Isaiah 55 verse 6 and 7.
Because brethren, I started by saying, we have a lot of problems. The world is coming to a chaos. But Isaiah 55 verse 6 and 7.
Seek the Lord while ye may be found. Brethren, we've got a little time, but it's not long. It's not long. Seek the Lord while he may be found. Call upon him while he's near. There'll be a day. It'll be too late.
What I mean by that? There'll be a day that a portion of us, not all of us, a portion of us, will be protected. A portion of us will not because we'll be like the five unwise virgins. Seek the Lord while he may be found. Call upon him while he's near. Let the wicked forsake his ways and unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to the Lord Jesus Christ, and he will have mercy on him. And to our God the Father, for he will abundantly pardon. Brethren, the time is now.
Christ will come. He will intervene.
And you'll bring the authority of the Father on earth under his delegated authority by the Father to do God's will. And you know what? Thank God that he's coming.
