By the way, one other little announcement I have is that I do have a printout of this latest prophetic times, which is just a subset of different bits of news from different areas. And it's really, when we watch the news today, really we can realize that time is short. Things are absolutely terrible out there. I don't know how to describe it anymore, but to say that this world is just on the edge of exploding at any time. And brethren, we see terrorism, for instance, is everywhere. There's these terrorist attacks, suicide bombers. I don't think just about any country is safe. I mean, it can happen anywhere.
And it's even sadder when this attitude of killing people is under the guise of religious. It's under the ban of religion. I mean, what sort of religion of God would you say that I just go indiscriminately kill people? It just boggles my mind and boggles your mind, I'm sure. And therefore, you know, when we look at these terrorist organizations, sometimes we think, well, it's this organization and this is the leader and we've got to wipe out this leader. And so who is the leader of these organizations in the end? They use high-tech weapons. They are motivated by hatred. Hatred to us, to nations which are in English-speaking world, particularly. Nations which, in the way we understand, they are Israelites, the same nations. And also to Christianity in general. I mean, one of the comments here they have is, in the news it's saying, where did I see it?
They say for lone wolf jihadists to act as Christians. So, you know, to act as Christians, so they can infiltrate into these areas and then cause even more damage. So it's just unbelievable. It's just unbelievable. This whole situation is elusive. It hides. That's what terrorism is. They attack the weak and the frail and the the senseless. They change location, you don't know. They act as an unknown. They use many strategies. They use many strategies and they hide in the different names. I mean, yeah, you could destroy this name of this organization. The next thing pops up this spirit and this attitude under a different name. And you can say, well, I'm destroying this organization. Okay, destroy this organization. But this problem still crops up in different areas. And brethren, we all are under a threat of danger. This attitude of terrorism is able to breach security because it just hides and bang. And then people can say, how come the police don't know? I mean, I can understand the problems and difficulties they have, the security forces, because this is everywhere. And attacks when we don't even know or when we're not aware. I mean, I remember in South Africa when we were under terror attacks, you could just be walking. Next thing, something would explode right next to you or whatever. I remember there was one specific situation that some of the brethren in the church, this was during the feast, they were going from their hotel, they were walking to the hall where we're having the feast. And for some reason, during the feast, they were kind of walking this path, kind of maybe a straight path. But for some reason, they just decided to take a detour around the block. And when they took the detour around the block, where they would have walked, a bomb exploded. And, you know, God, you know, you read about it, you know, take a thousand on your left, ten thousand on your right, you'll see it, but it will not affect you. We know, we really require faith, and we're gonna get to the time where we have to have that sort of faith and be close to God. And so, what is the real name of this great terrorist? What is the name? You think about it, who is the greatest terrorist of them all? And the name is Satan. You're right, the name is Satan. And so, today I want to spend a bit of time to show you how God will get rid of him and his terrorist network. Let's call it his terrorist network. And our individual responsibilities as well in that process. So, let's see first how he terrorizes mankind. So, let's look at Ephesians chapter 6 verse 12. Ephesians chapter 6 verse 12.
Here we read a scripture which says, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood. And, you know, think about terrorism. It's like you don't know who you're fighting. It can come from any angle, any area. It's kind of, you don't know when it's coming. And this is also but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age. In other words, against spiritual hosts of wickedness, he nearly places. We actually, the real inspiration of these attacks to us, to our society, to our problems we have, are actually inspired by demons. Really, and they are under the leadership of Satan. They're inspired by demons. They are powers. As it says, principalities, that means they are, there is organization, they are authorities in those demonic powers. They are rulers of darkness. Really, you look at some of these flags, they're all black and things. It's that mentality, satanic mentality, of darkness. It really is. And so, what we have is, we have an unseen enemy. Really unseen. And this enemy is influencing him and his co-words, or influencing people in the world. And they are so much affected by him. But not only, the point is, he influences with many strategies. He's got many strategies. The strategy of outright terrorism is probably going to be an extreme on this side. But he's got a whole ambit of strategies to even some of the mildest ones, to this most extreme one. And so, basically, what he's done is created an environment that people worship him, this great terrorist. And they don't even know without realizing it. Why? Because mankind don't know who the real God is. You see, he's created an environment that says, law is bad. God's law is bad.
He does away with sound beliefs of understanding what is right and what is wrong. You look at these people that say, I can just go there as a suicide bomber, just go in the middle of somebody, maybe in a church or in some area or tourist area, just some relaxing, causing no trouble, completely innocent, and just go and kill them. And I'm doing this in God's name, and this is right. They have turned right and wrong completely upside down. Really, you know, they call bad evil and evil good. I mean, that's one of the prophecies in the Old Testament. You've seen it's there. That's what it is. They've turned things upside down. And religion today doesn't help either, because religion today is all confused and muddled up. It really is all confused and muddled up. So, this great terrorist has infiltrated society, and that's what it is. These terrorists come in, maybe, under disguise of whatever it may be. Maybe peaceful immigrants or peaceful people just in trouble running away as refugees. But next thing, they pop up doing criminal acts. So, they infiltrate the country. They have infiltrated religion. They infiltrate government. What do you mean they infiltrate government? Yes, because government and education today is not according to God's way. It's been infiltrated. That's why I say it is this extreme from the mildest to the most extreme, but even in a mildest form, government has been infiltrated. Education has been infiltrated. You look at things like Common Core. My wife was explaining to me the other day. It's just right and wrong is upside down. It's infiltrated everywhere. It's in education. It's in families. We see families having problems, deep problems. Some of you have problems in your families, which are profound. And you can see there's this wrong spirit. We have problems in some parts of our family, where there are problems. And you can see where Satan is spreading out from the mildest form to the most extreme and deceiving people and causing problems, be it, as I said, in religion. In government. In education. And even in entertainment. Now, you think about entertainment. What are you going to do? Are you going to switch on your movies? Or you go to a movie? You switch on TV? What do you see? Murder and murder and murder and killing and shooting, all for the sake of entertainment? What are you doing to your mind? Making it calloused. Making it, oh well, it's okay to do this. And some young people that have just raised and brought up with this environment, this affects their mind in a negative way.
How is this possible? How is this possible? How is it that God allows this? You see, now you've got to go back to the beginning to actually lay it out and see how this is possible. You see, in the beginning, there were two beings. The highest God and the world. And the two were together. You read in John 1-1. There were two beings. And they shared what we call a way of life which was based on outgoing concern. In other words, love. These two beings had a way of life of giving to one another. And they felt we want to share this way of life with others. And in fact, we want to have millions of children that can share this way of life with one another. But to do that, I need to create first. Or they said they need to. And they, one of them, used the other one as the one that did the works. One was, let's call it, the planner, and the other one was the executor. And they said, look, we're going to need helpers through this process. Like servants. Like to help in this process. And so, they created what we call today angels. To help them in this process. Millions, maybe billions of angels to help them in this process. And then, after they created the angels, they created the heavens and the earth. And you're reading, Charles, that it says, the angels shouted for joy when they saw the creation. So the angels were there before the physical creation. And they shouted for joy when they saw the creation. And they shouted for joy when they saw this creation. In the course of time, because God has got time. I mean, that's one resource that he's got plenty of. He's got eternity in front of him. So in the course of time, he needed to allow these angels to kind of mature and through experience, see how they perform. And over the course of time, some of them rebelled. Some of them turned against God. Can you read that in Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28? You see that some of them rebelled, particularly a leader of them, which today is known as Satan, which today is known as Satan, the devil, which means the adversary and the one that speaks bad words. And so they rebelled. And what we have today is a situation where we have good angels and bad angels. The good angels we call angels and bad angels we call demons. And they have a chief demon, which we call Satan. So these rebels, they introduced a different way of life, not based on the way of love and not then concern for others. But they introduced a way of life, which you and I today call very simply competition. Very simply competition, the competitive spirit. In other words, a way of get for the self. To win, to be the one at the top to get for self. Not to give to others, but to absorb to get for the self. Through competition. Now, under this environment, obviously, because of that rebellion, there was a great destruction. God then refashioned or refurbished planet earth a period of six days. And he then created Adam and Eve in that environment of the earth. And that was about 6,000 years ago.
A little less, but about 6,000 years ago. And he gave Adam and Eve a choice. God gave Adam and Eve a choice. A choice of choosing the way of life, of giving to others, which leads to life, which is the way that God always followed. Or the way of the rebellious ones, the way of competition, the way of get, the way of get for the self. And the way he gave that choice to Adam and Eve was through two trees. The tree of life and the tree of death. Or put another way, the tree that you believe and trust in God, that he knows better what is good for you and what is bad for you. And when God says, this is good for you, you say, yes sir. When God says, this is bad for you, you say, yes sir, I trust in you, I believe in you, because you only want my good and you want me to be well and healthy. I believe in what you say. So this is the tree of life. That you believe that what God says is good and what God says is bad, you trust him and you believe in him. In other words, his laws tell us what's good and what's bad. And then there's the other tree. The tree of death, which says, you man decides for yourself what is right and what is wrong. You make your own decisions. You set up your own ethics according to whatever conditions exist. And that's what we have today. Oh well, ethics, this is right depending on the condition, because like they say, the end justifies the means and therefore that's the way the world is going. It's the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which mankind decides what's right and wrong and basically is the tree of death. So Adam and Eve had a choice. It's the tree of life and the tree of death. Now understand, in those few chapters of Genesis, describes history in a very, very summarized manner. And so all that it says basically is man made the wrong choice. Man made the wrong choice. And so, basically, Adam made a choice for the tree of death. The tree of falling under the sway of the deceptions of the leading of this way of get under the deception of this great, quote unquote, terrorist. This great deceiver and they made the wrong choice.
So if you look with me to Romans chapter 5, Romans chapter 5 verse 12 through 14, Romans chapter 5 verse 12 through 14, say, therefore, just as through one man, you know, it was through Adam, through one man sin entered into the world. Romans 5 verse 12.
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, in other words, instead of going to way of love, they went away of get. That's what it is. It's against God. It's sin entered into the world and death through sin. In other words, when you go that way, when you sin, the wages of sin is death. That's it. Death entered into the world through sin. And thus death spread to all men because all men have sinned. It's like leaven. You know, when you put leaven into a piece of dough and you put it in an oven, it spreads to the whole dough. It's spread to all mankind, to all. Not just there's a piece of bread here that actually didn't rise up, but the rest rise up. But this is one piece of bread here that didn't rise up. Well, the old bread rises up, you know, it spread to the old men. Why? Because all, all have sinned. You and I include it. We all have sinned.
Then in brackets, they basically say, they fought until the law. Sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. In other words, until when the Moses, through these relights, call them Yahya's law and whatever it is, and now you understand, it's very clear, God in a sense closed his eyes and allowed them not impute. But now that you know better, you better act. You see, now once you know better, you better do something about it. That's what he's saying. When you don't know better, when it's in ignorance, that's okay. It's one thing. But when you know better, you better do something about it. I had the situation that some people, and I've heard throughout other people as well, that some people say, oh well, I was raised up in the church, but I don't want to be baptized. This is young people's sake. I don't want to be baptized yet, because once I'm baptized, I'm going to be held accountable.
No. You held accountable for what you know, whether you're baptized or not.
You held accountable for what you know, whether you're baptized or not. Now we know as young people, the Bible is very clear, that God is calling you. Full stop. God is calling you. And you're going to make a choice, too, whether you're fallen or not. That is in Corinthians. God is calling you.
That's a very special calling that you as young people in God's church have.
You can't say, oh well, it's because I wasn't baptized before. I'm not going to be held accountable. We are all held accountable. So it says, until, you know, until the law is, sin was not imputed. Until you don't know, when you don't know, sin was not imputed. Nevertheless, verse 14, sin reign from Adam to Moses. Even though you did not know better, sin was still existing, and therefore you still died. And people died.
Even other those who had not sinned, according to the likeness of the translation of Adam, it would be whatever sin you add, but whatever sins you add, you. Because who is a part of him who wants to come? And so what it says, all are sin. And Adam was a part of him who was to come, because there was going to be a second Adam, which is Christ, where it was going to change and bring us a different way. So all absent. And you and I know that sin is the breaking of the law.
Let's look at that in 1 John chapter 3 verse 4. 1 John chapter 3 verse 4. 1 John chapter 3 verse 4. It says, whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And in all, King James Version says, because sin is a translation of the law. Sin is a translation of whoever sins commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. It's breaking the law. So it's like terrorists. You don't even know what's happening, but then you're infiltrating, and we get infiltrated. And through deception, you end up being deceived and end up going the wrong way. And next thing, we all die, because we all had this deception infiltrated into us. The extreme of that, the extreme of that, is like people that live in the home country and go to another country to join, for instance, a jihadist-style group to kill. That's the extreme, where they start, they live their normal way, and they go to, they leave their normal domain or area with, and they go to a different area, different domain, and they become terrorists or killers or whatever it is. That is the extreme. But the less extreme one is that it affects your mind slowly, and in the end, you are killing yourself because it's the same sort of approach. You're actually leaving where you should be. You know, it was living according to God's way, according to the tree of life, according towards love for fellow man, love to one's worth and another, and very subtly moving to a way thinking that, ah, well, this is a case, it's not going to hurt me, but very subtly, moving to a way that is going to cause death. So that is the mild extreme on the left. The greatest extreme on the right, is you leave your country, go to somewhere else to actually kill others. So that's kind of this whole equation of extremes from the left to the right, from one extreme to another. And now, what are those people? And now let's look at the example of those extremes here on this side where once they leave and they go into that environment and they come back, can you trust them? Of course you can't. You can't trust them. You can't go back to the same relationship you had with those people. The problem is, quite often, you don't even know that they came back and you don't even know because they hide, they, they... But if you knew, you can't have the same relationship. You see, in other words, these people, in a sense, went into a way of life, into a way of thinking that it's bringing them into prison. Into that way of killing and once, ultimately, to die. Because they've been caught in that way of life. It's the same thing. Yeah, you can start going and you're now in a way that is going to bring death. That relationship, clean relationship that existed, or should have existed right at the beginning at least, can't be reestablished. That relationship that should have been with God, that you and I, when we were born as children, that we were born uncorrupt. But over time, the influence of the world and society corrupted our human nature.
And people went that way.
And so, it's exactly the same thing that happened to Adam and Eve. Think about it. They were in a good relationship with God. They chose the wrong way and that relationship was broken. They became, in other words, separated from God. In other words, they were kicked out of the garden. And they now fell under the sway of the power of that great terrorist. They became completely separated from God because they were expelled from the garden. The garden of Eden. And that's the same thing when we, we all, have become corrupted and we're living, or living in a way of death. We do not have the relationship with God that we should have. That relationship has been broken.
Why? Because our sins separate us from God. Our sins separate us from God. Look at Isaiah 59, verse 1 and 2. Isaiah 59, verse 1 and 2. Isaiah 59, verse 1 and 2. He says, Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, but he can't save. Nor is he, he is here heavy, but he cannot hear. But God is not handicapped.
You know, he can't hear that he's, his hand is kind of, oh, he's got, what you call, a tennis elbow. We can't actually reach out, you know, it's not tennis elbow. We can't reach out, you know, it's really hurting. No, God has got no handicaps. So what is the problem? That sometimes God is not that. We don't have that relationship with God. It says in verse 2, But your iniquities have separated you from your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
You know, it was that relationship, that trusting relationship between you and us and God has been broken. It's like those people that left the country, went to another country to become terrorist killers, come back. You can't have a normal relationship with them. That obviously is the extreme, but it just shows the point. And so, what's the result? Pain and suffering. Pain and suffering. And brethren, we've seen it. Because of sin in this world, there is great pain and great suffering. I mean, it really hurts. It really hurts when that is close to you and your family. It really hurts.
When it's further away from you, it still hurts. Because what happens is, people do things wrong. Say, for instance, there's a suicide bomb, and it hurts a number of people. It kills a number of others. Others that are nearby are injured. Completely innocent. But because of somebody else's fault. You see, so your sins and somebody else's sins, they all affect us. One way or another.
It causes sin, it causes pain and suffering. So, you are not only causing pain and suffering on yourself when you sin, but you're causing pain and suffering on others because of our sins. It's a fact of life. So, people say, oh, but why does God allow suffering? Because you and I chose that way. We, as free moral agents, chose that way. We've been deceived, yes, by this arch-terrorist, arch-deceiver, Satan the devil.
We've been deceived by him and it's not God's fault. So, people say, oh, well, how come God is it? It's not God's fault. It's our fault. We all, to one degree or other, done the same thing. And when we do wrong and when we do sin, and we go that way, we actually, in a sense, are becoming agents or representatives of that terrorist. And we've got to be careful. Now, you want to come back and say, oh, I realize I want to come back and I want to come back. How can you convince others that now you are different?
Because the trust is broken. How can we cross the bridge to come back? You see, we're out there. How can you cross the bridge? Think about that person that went to a country to learn to be a jihadist. Now, after a while, he says, no, I don't want to be that. How does he cross the bridge to get back and build trust again? How do we make peace with God? How do we get reconciled with God and men?
Brethren, I am not talking about something far-fetched. This is what's happening to the world. This is what's happening to the society. This is how we are. Our relationship with God has been broken. We are now prisoners of our deeds. Prisoners of our deeds of the flesh. And, in a sense, we have a bad reputation. So, who's going to give us a chance? Can you see this difference in nature? There's a nature of God, which is of love, and there's a nature of Satan, which is of get for the self through competition.
We have crossed the bridge, gone to that. How do we get back? Let's look at it a little bit about Satan's nature. How is he described in the Bible? He's described in the Bible as a deceiver. He's described in the Bible as a tempter. He's described in the Bible as one that binds.
I mean, you know, these problems we have in the world, they bind us. They put us under tremendous stress and sadness and unhappiness. And we're bound. We can't get out of it. We're prisoners of the situation we end up. Particularly when it's in families and things like that, you just feel bound. Satan is a liar. Satan is a schemer. That's all in the Bible.
He's a schemer. He says he's the father of lies. He's the accuser. He's the adversary. He's the one that is the destroyer. He's the one that has lusts for self. He's the one that has no true thing. He's the one that's corrupt. Do you think some of these things have affected us? Look at how, as mankind, we are. Look at that in Galatians chapter 5, verse 19 through 21. Galatians chapter 5, verse 19 through 21.
Now, the works of the flesh. That's the works of what we as human beings, which are flesh human beings, we have done. Are evident which are adultery. Isn't adultery the world today? It's all over. All over. Fornication, uncleanliness, rudeness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, arguments in other words, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions. In other words, being this party or that party, no, this, this, and well, do we get it lightly until for another few months, for a few months, during this year? There's these dissensions, this party versus that party. Here are these. It was false truth, envy, murders. Murders could even be inward or in thought. Drunkens.
Revelries. All these big parties which are revelry and the like. I mean, the list continues. Of which I tell you beforehand, just I also told you in time pass, that those who practice, in other words, we have a habit of practicing. Such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Brethren, we have to analyze ourselves and say, yeah, we have fallen prey to some of these things. Sometimes we still do. We are frail, we are weak, but we need to be working to put on the new man, as we heard in the sermon, we've got to put on the new man. We've got to become whiter than us, a little bit more of that in a moment. But it's not just us, the angels also fell prey of this. A lot of good angels fell prey of this arch the siva and they became bad angels, which we call them demons today. But look at these angels in Jude 6. In Jude 6, Jude is the book just before Revelation. Verse 6, it says, And the angels who did not keep their profit domain. Their profit domain was this way of life of God, the way of life of love. They did not keep their domain, they did not keep their responsibilities, they did not do the job that they were supposed to do, and they moved to a different domain of rebellion. And it says, the angels who did not keep their profit domain, but left their own abode. He has reserved the everlasting chains and the darkness for the judgment of the great day. Brethren, there's going to be a judgment. There's going to be a judgment for angels. There's going to be a judgment for man. And they know it. But these angels have infiltrated this world and have caused these attitudes to be permeated throughout society. And so what we have is what we read in 1 John chapter 2 verse 16. So just turn a few pages back from where you are now. 1 John chapter 2 verse 16. Just a few pages back from where you are.
For all that is in the world, the last of the flesh, the last of the eyes, and the pride of life. That's what's in the world. The last of the flesh, the last of the eyes, and the pride of life. Now think about that. Those three things are parallels to what Adam and Eve looked at it when they looked at the fruit in that tree, pleasing to the eyes to make them wise. So those three are absolutely parallels to what happened to Adam and Eve. And see, this is not of the Father, but he's of the world, of this world. And who's the God of this world? The Satan, we know. So it's of this world. The terrorist, this instigator, and his cohorts have infiltrated this attitude throughout the world. And so what do we got now? We got a society which is basically against God. Look at James chapter 4. Again, a few pages back. Not many, just a few pages back. And he got James chapter 4 verse 4 and says, well, we'll just start at the beginning. He says, where do wars and fights come from among you? Verse 1 of chapter 4. Do they not come from your desires for pleasure? They are warring your members. You lust and you do not have. Your murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war, lest yet you do not have, because you do not ask. And you ask and do not receive because you ask the most so that you may spend it in your own places. In other words, the way of get. You say, I want for me to get, get. I want a bigger TV, I want a bigger car, I want this, whatever it is. It's not bad to desire certain things, provided you work for it and you work for it lawfully. That's okay. But what we're saying is there's a way of get here. There's a spirit here, a wrong spirit of get, a way of get, not the way of give, not the way of love. And he says, verse 4, doubters and adult heresis. Do you not know that the friendship with the world is enmity with God? For whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God, because this world has got the wrong spirit. This world is going the wrong way. And there is some spiritual lessons here. Let me give an example. God tells us the lessons of clean and unclean foods. And during our interactive Bible study last week, we talked about this. And I said, what is the spiritual lesson of these clean and unclean foods? You see, the spiritual lesson of clean and unclean foods is to follow. What do you do with what happens when you have clean and clean foods? Clean and clean foods means that you are continuously making a decision in your mind when you go shopping or when you go someplace and you got to eat something that is given to you or displayed for you. You got to say, is this clean or unclean? Or is this pork or not pork? Is this shellfish? Yes or no? You got to be continuously concerning. And maybe when you go and buy, read the labels and say, is this clean or unclean? You continuously reading that label to make a decision to do something that is right. The spiritual lesson of it is that you and I have to continuously read the labels of other thoughts and things that come into our mind and say, is this clean or not? And if it's unclean, reject. Don't allow that in your mind. That is the spiritual lesson of clean and clean foods from a spiritual point of view. That's why it's said when it talks about clean and clean food says, be holy as I am holy.
You see, it's there's a spiritual bigger lesson that you and I have to be watching continuously because this terrorist is continuously bombarding to us wavelengths, radio transmission frequencies, spiritually speaking, into your brain with these fives and whatever it is, bang, bang, bang, bang, and your brain is continuously hearing it like you have this radio all on full blast around you and you're hearing this bang, bang, bang, and these you want to turn that radio off spiritually speaking. That is happening to you and I continuously, and you have to continuously be on a watch out and put those things away. So what are they? How does he inject us? Those thoughts. Well, could be movies, could be TV. Why? Because you got murder, you got adultery, you got all these things on these movies, you know, and and people say, oh, that was funny. Yeah, it was funny, maybe, but it's wrong. It's kind of putting the wrong things in our mind. So whether it is from movies all the way to economy, the way the finances run in this world, everything is the wrong way in the society. And what we know is the way of this world will not endure. It can't go on like this. It's gonna crash. It's gonna crash. It's gonna come to a bubble and it's gonna burst. It can't continue. So brethren, it has affected us one way or another. Turn with me, please, to John chapter 8. John chapter 8. John chapter 8. And let's look at 43 and 44. John chapter 8 verse 43 and 44. And it says, Why do you not understand my speech? This is Christ talking. Because you are not able to listen to my word. You're not able to understand what I'm saying. Christ is telling them, you, verse 44, you, you know, it was the people that he was talking to, you are of your father, the devil. In other words, he has infiltrated so much in you that you have actually kind of like become his children. It's not that you are his children, but you become like his children, as if you are his children. You are of your father, the devil, the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning. Yeah, he's a murderer. The very moment that he destroyed angels, he basically murdered their joy to be eternally happy. Murder, he destroyed that joy. He was a murderer right from the beginning. And does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own resources, for he is a father, a big part, he is a liar and the father of lies, of it. So, what has happened? You and I have been affected by this world. This world, this terrorist, has injected into us these things. And I've mentioned before, it's like a broadcast, and we receive it. Where do I get that from? From Ephesians chapter 2. Learn with, turn with me please to Ephesians chapter 2.
Galatians, Ephesians chapter 2. I'm going to read from verse 1 to 3. And here is Paul writing to Ephesians, and he made a lie, who were dead in trespasses and sins. So, when we go wrong, we basically are dead. We are dead. In which, sins, you once walk according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air. Satan is the prince that has power in the air, and it can inject these thoughts. It can inject these ideas. And therefore, I really strongly recommend you to listen to the Beyond Today program that Mr. Myers put for this weekend about. Are they evil spirits? They are. They are demons. And there he goes through it how they infiltrate into our minds. He's not talking about being demon possessed, although the archives do, but he infiltrates. He kind of injects thoughts into us. And you and I have to be careful. We really have to be careful. He's the spirit of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sense of disobedience. He now works in a wall, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the last of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and we're by nature children of wrath, just as the others. You see, we were just as the others. We were caught. We were caught up, like those people that leave the country and go to another country to become a geologist, or a murderer, or whatever it is. We were caught in the same sort of wavelength. We are caught. And once we are caught, we are dying. One day we will die. And you know what? Once you're dead, you're dead.
How can you bring yourself back to life? I mean, you and I can't even bring ourselves back to feeling like when we're 20 years old. How much more can we bring ourselves back to life? When we're dead, we're dead. There's no thought in the grave, as it says. Unless somebody buys us back, goes and takes us and buys us back with his life, back to life. Life for life. So there's got to be a redeemer. There's got to be somebody that buys us back.
That's where the book of Ruth is a very fascinating book. Now you read the book of Ruth. It's fascinating. Yaa is Naomi and Ruth, and she got married, and then her husband died, and then the brother was who died, and so on. And then Naomi came back.
Okay. And then Naomi knows very well, goes back to a relative, which according to the Jewish law, had a right to buy her back. You know, she knew the law, so she knew what she was doing. There was all kind of mothers thinking, you know, organizing things for the children, you know, like matchmakers, you know. You've seen that. Ladies do that sometimes, you know. So there was mother, plenty things for the daughter, and says, well, there's Boaz there. Nice young man, non-married, stable, ideal, for Naomi, I mean for Ruth, and let's see. And then she kind of works this whole thing out. It says, do this, do this. And then Boaz says, I'm gonna buy her back. I'm gonna redeem her.
Turn with me to Ruth, chapter 4. Ruth, chapter 4. Now, where is Ruth? Well, Ruth is off to Joshua.
Judges. And then, Ruth, just before first seminary. Ah, there it is, hiding between judges and for seminary. So, hidden there, somewhere. It's there! I found it. It's there. Still there. So, if you go to chapter 4, now there's Boaz. Now he's gonna scout to the council of the city, and he says, all right, I want to buy her, but there is one other relative which has got first option. And then, I'm second option. So, I'm gonna say to the relative, okay, you can have it, and you can buy it. And he says, yeah, I can buy it. And he says, but there's one condition. There's a woman there you're gonna marry her. Oh, no!
That's basically what it is, you know. You read this, you end up with a guide, and behold, the close relative of Boaz had spoken, came by, so Boaz said, come, listen, my friend, let's sit and walk. We got some business to handle, yeah. Sit down, and sit down, yeah. So, he came aside and sat down, and he took ten men of the elders of the city, as witnesses. There's not just one or two, but ten men was witnesses. And he said, so they sat down. Verse 3. Then he said to that close relative, Noamí was come back from the country of Moab, sold a piece of land which belonged to our brother, Elimelech. And then goes on the story, and therefore, as I explained, there is Noamí that his mother got this land, and went, hey, I knew you can buy it. Yeah, I want to do it! And then, looking at it in verses 9 and 10, then he said, no, you don't want to do it. And then, because of that, so he said, okay, then I'll do it. You know? And so, so he did it. And then, in verse 9, he says, so Boaz said to the elders and all the people, you are now witnesses this day that I've bought all that was Elimelech, and all that was Chilions and Magions from the hand of Noamí. Moreover, Ruth the Moabite, says, so she was not even an Israelite. And you know what? She becomes of the descendency of Jesus Christ. Wow! A non-Israelite woman becomes descendant, an ancestor of Jesus Christ. But anyway, then he says, um, Moreover, Ruth the Moabite is the widow of Marlon, I have acquired as my wife to perpetuate the name of the dead through his inheritance, that the name of the dead may not be cut off from among his brethren from his possession, blah, blah, blah. This is a parallel lesson to us about what Christ stand for us. He's bought us back. He redeemed us. That's redemption. He redeemed us from them. He bought us back. How? By his life. He bought us. And look at Galatians chapter 4. Galatians chapter 4.
Galatians chapter 4.
And let's start reading in verse 1.
Now I say that to hear as long as a child does not differ at all from a slave, though he's a master of all. So if you have the inheritor, he's a little baby, and there's a servant, which is looking after this little baby while he grows. He does not differ anyway from the servant, because it's just under the power of appearance. He's still got no power. Right? Though he's master of all. He will become master of all, but at this stage, while he's still a servant, he's a servant. But he's under guardians. So he's under the guardian of the slave. He's under guardians as she was until the time appointed by the father, until he reaches maturity, and the dad says, all right, now you're the inheritor. Now you've reached the age. Even so, we, when we were children, spiritually speaking, we were children, we were in bondage under the elements of the world.
Not the elements of God. Not the elements of God, the elements of the world. But when the fullness of time had come, God set forth his son, born of a woman. In the words God sent, his son, that was the word that became Jesus Christ, born of a woman, born under the law. To redeem those were under the law. You know, it's to redeem those that were under the penalty of the law, because there was a law, and there was a ritual law, and they were under those conditions. And he says, under the law, that we might receive adoption as sons. So we could now be adopted, not adopted, but we could actually, that's actually a bad translation, so we actually could be really sons of God. And I explained to you before how God's Spirit comes from the Father, and it's like the seed that impregnates us, and therefore we becomes really sons of the Father, not adopted, because he is the Father, the seed came from him, and the seed comes from the dead. So spiritually speaking, the seed came from the Father. So redeem those under the law, that we might receive the sonship as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son, as God's Holy Spirit, into our hearts. And through the power of God's Holy Spirit, we cannot say, dead, because our Heavenly Father is our dead. Therefore, you're no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then and here of God. You and I have been brought back from sin to become children of God, and we've been brought back by Jesus Christ. He died for us. Now look at Pat. 2, verse 11. That's just before Hebrews, and obviously before Philemon. Titus, chapter 2, verse 11.
Officer Timothy, Titus, chapter 2, verse 11. And he says, For the grace of God that brings salvation as a beautiful man, teaching us that deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age. Like we are in the sermonette. We've got to become as white as snow. We've got to become pure, and covering all those impurities, and only Christ can do that. Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great, and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior. Who is our great God and Savior? Jesus Christ.
That's what he says here. Who gave himself for us? He gave himself. He gave his spiritual life up as the word, and he came a physical human being, and he gave his physical life up for us, and he died. So that what? He says, so that he might redeem us, so that he might buy us back from death, from every lawless deed, and purify for himself, like white as snow, purify for himself, his own special people, zealous for good works. That's what it is. Christ is redeemed, has bought us back.
And look at Romans chapter 5 to conquer the same thing in Romans chapter 5.
Romans chapter 5, 8 through 10.
But God must write his own life towards us, that while we were still sinners, we were still on the other side as rebels, as, quote-unquote, on the wrong nature.
Christ died for us.
Much more than, have he now been justified by his blood? In other words, we've been made right with God by his blood. We've been reconciled, made just by his blood. We shall be saved from wrath through sin. We shall be saved. They're not saved. We are already saved. We shall be saved at the resurrection when we become spirit beings. We're not yet saved. We shall be saved from wrath through sin. For if when we were enemies, we were on the other side, we would have gone to this area of this wrong nature. When we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his son. How did that building trust relationship can be rebuilt by the death of Christ? Which you and I don't deserve.
It's by his grace, by his kindness, loving kindness. Much more, having been reconciled, it was that now we have a trusting relationship. You and I can now pray to the Father that dividing curtain in the temple knuckle has been torn by Christ's death, and we, our prayers, can now go to the Father through Christ in the name of Christ, which was not before until that was torn. That's why some people, Jews, say, oh, but in the Old Testament, we never prayed in Jesus' name. No, but now Jesus said, now whatever you ask in my name, it will be done for you. It's a new thing that Christ has given us, a new way through Christ, in Jesus' name. And he says, and we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more having been reconciled, we shall, we're not yet saved, we shall be saved by his life. How? By his life. Because he's now a defensive attorney, and when you and I do things wrong, and we get on our knees and we pray to God and say, I'm sorry, and the accuser, which is sacred, says, ha ha, look at him, George has done that again! But George is repentant, and he's on his knees saying, God, please help me, help me to cleanse my mind. I found another thing that I've got to work on my mind and get it right. And now, the defense attorney is living next to the Father at his right hand. Our defense attorney says, forget about it, you're forgiven, he's cleansed. That's why he says, we shall be saved by his life, because he's living as our high priest, as our defensive attorney, defending us as we go on overcoming day by day until the end.
Brethren, it's a wonderful way. It's a wonderful way. We are being reconciled to God. We now have to live a new way. According to the stature of Jesus Christ. You read Ephesians chapter 4. I'm not going to go there, but in Ephesians chapter 4, where it talks about, we have a church, we have a ministry for the edifying of the body in love. And therefore, through this edification, we have to put off the old man and put on the new man. Like we are in the sermonette, we've got to put on the new man. We've got to get ourselves cleansed as pure and white as snow. And we've got to do that. That's our part.
That terrorist has incited and misguided us and deceived us to go the wrong way. Sure, we have our part too. We also did our part too. But nonetheless, he's deceived us to go the wrong way. Christ, under the mercy and the grace of God, died for us. He bought us back. Now we have a relationship with the Father, gratis, freely, by His mercy, by His divine love and favour. We've got that relationship. Now that we have this relationship, let's not mess it up! Right? Let's not continue doing it all the way. Let's live up the new man. That's our responsibility. You see, as Paul says in Romans chapter 2, so just a few pages back, maybe one or two pages in your Bible, in Romans chapter 2, verse 4, he says, "'O do you despise the riches of His goodness?" It was God's goodness. He's done for us. Do you despise that? His forbearance. In other words, He's got patience, and He waits. And you and I know, we quite often are only too grateful that God's given us time and patience, because sometimes we just take a long time to get it right. So we've got forbearance and long suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God, not knowing that this gentleness and loving care of God, this grace of God leads us to repentance. It makes us say, hey, Christ did that for us. I better do my part. I better do my part, and I better change.
That's our job.
But, verse 5, in accordance with your harms of your impenitent heart, in other words, if you are hard, and if you are not changing, you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, because there's going to be judgment. And so, we have choice. We ought to take this grace and challenge, or we remain stiff-naked, hard, and keep going the wrong way. But there's going to be a judgment. And that judgment of that judgment of God will render to each one according to his deeds. We will be judged according to our works. It's not just, oh, well, Jesus has saved you, and now you can do whatever you want, because Jesus has saved you. No, he has not saved you, yet. He's doing, through his life, is, as your defense attorney and my defense attorney, he's working for our salvation. But we're going to be judged according to our works, according to our deeds. And according to our deeds, we'll either get eternal life to those who are patient, continuously doing good, sick for glory. There's nothing wrong for you to desire glory. There's nothing wrong for you to desire honor. There's nothing wrong for you to desire immortality. But to those who are on the way of guilt, the way of self, of guilt, who are self-seeking, and do not obey the truth, do not obey. We have to obey. But obey unrighteousness, indignation, and wrath, tribulation, and anguish on every soul of man who does evil to the Jew and to the Jew. There's no partiality to God. And so, brethren, there's going to be a judgment. There's going to be a judgment for Satan and his demons. They will be judged. There'll be a day of judgment. We saw that earlier on. They will be judged. They will ultimately, Satan will be thrown into the lack of fire. And they'll be tormented forever. You can read that in Revelation 20. I think it was there. Ultimately, he's going to be punished.
We also are going to be judged. But God wants to give you and me, as his children, the kingdom of God. God wants you to make it. God is betting for you. I mean, after all, he died for you. If he died for you, is me going to help you and give you the strength and the power for his spirit? Yes, he's betting for you. So please, do not be discouraged. Please don't be run down. I know your trials and our trials and our difficulties and our issues that we may have are sometimes too big for us. They're too big for us. But remember, we have to change. We have to repent. We have to be baptized and receive that helping hand through the power of God's Holy Spirit. Then we have to overcome, overcome, and overcome till the end. And only at the end, if we remain faithful to the end, will we then receive eternal life. But it's worth it! It's worth it! And you can make it! Because God wants you to make it. He wants to bat for you. The terrorists will be removed.
And when he's removed, there'll be peace forever and ever and ever. And no more pain, no more sorrow, no more tears. What a wonderful time that will be in which the whole family of God will live eternally in peace and harmony, as originally claimed.
