Conflict is inevitable—even among Christians—so God gives a clear “peace protocol” for resolving it. Based on Matthew 18 (supported by other scriptures), the process is to address the offense privately and gently first, then involve one or two honest witnesses if needed, and only then bring it to the church for judgment—always aiming for reconciliation and peace rather than escalation, gossip, or “scorched earth” outcomes. If every step is refused, separation may be necessary, but the door should still be left open for repentance and restoration.
