Preparing Now for Our Future

What are we, as children of God, supposed to do while we wait for the return of Christ? Will we be ready when that time comes? Should we just sit back and wait, assuming that we will automatically be ready for our responsibilities? Or do you suppose that the time before Christ returns ought to be better spent? We have the responsibility now to prepare for our future as kings and priests of Christ.
