Christ taught that “out of the abundance of the heart” the mouth speaks, and that “by your words” you will be justified or condemned. God links our eternal salvation to what we say, and He places the responsibility on us to control what comes out of our mouth. He gives us the help to do this if we strive to put a guard over our mouth. What we say can either bless or curse, and we must strive to always speak wholesome words. For we are what we speak

Andy Diemer is the pastor of the Fort Myers, Florida congregation and the associate pastor serving the congregations in Ft. Lauderdale and Vero Beach, Florida. He served as the pastor of the churches in New England from 2014 to 2021. He was baptized into the Church in 1981 and ordained as an elder in 2011. He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Cleveland State University. He had a thirty-year career in manufacturing before being hired by the UCG in 2014.
