When God delivered ancient Israel from the slavery of the Egyptians, He gave them a promise and a calling. He called them to leave behind everything they ever knew to faithfully obey and follow Him. He promised to give them an inheritance worth more than anything else in the world.

He said: “I am the Lord. I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob...I established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, in which they were strangers. And I have heard the groanings of the children of Israel who the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant.

“I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. I will take you as My people, and I will be your God...And I will bring you into the land which I swore...I am the Lord” (Exodus 6:2-8 Exodus 6:2-8 [2] And God spoke to Moses, and said to him, I am the LORD: [3] And I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them. [4] And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers. [5] And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant. [6] Why say to the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments: [7] And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, which brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. [8] And I will bring you in to the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.

As spiritual Israel, we have that same promise and calling from the Almighty God—the God who parted the Red Sea and fought the battles for Israel until they were released. Who, when their enemies surrounded them, stood at their side and said, “Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today” (Exodus 14:13 Exodus 14:13And Moses said to the people, Fear you not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you to day: for the Egyptians whom you have seen to day, you shall see them again no more for ever.

God’s Kingdom is coming to this Earth. He has promised us eternal life and sonship in His family. Stay faithful to the promises and calling of our great God.
