The Ski Trip has unfortunately been cancelled:

Due to warmer weather and icy/granular conditions, the 2020 Atlanta Ski Trip has been canceled for this Sunday. All ski deposits will be returned shortly. Because of the warmer than usual temperatures this winter, we will next set our sights on the 2021 Atlanta Ski Trip Look for details later this fall.

The UCG Atlanta and Buford, GA congregations are sponsoring their 8th Annual UCG Atlanta Ski Trip to Gatlinburg, TN in 2020. The ski trip date is set for Sunday, February 2, 2020.

Here are details: 

* Cost - We have again contracted with Ober Gatlinburg for a flat fee of $69 per person for skiers and $79 for snowboarders (this is their best rate). The cost of skiing and snowboarding includes equipment, a lesson, a day lift ticket (from 9 AM - 10 PM), and a pass for going up and down the mountain on Ober Gatlinburg’s Aerial Tramway.

* Reservation Limit -  Our contract limits us to 25 skiers and 25 snowboarders.  Reservations will be accepted on a first-come basis. If you want to participate, the deadline to send the $10 deposit is January 23rd. Please access the reservation order form (in the “Download scetion to the right of this announcement), complete it, include your $10 deposit per person (cash or check only), and return it in the mail to Bob McCurdy (his address is on the form).

* Seeking input for 2021 Atlanta Ski Trip - When you fill out this year’s form, we are also seeking your feedback on the destination for the 2021 Ski Trip. Two separate locations, a few hours north of Gatlinburg, are being considered. They include - (1) Sugar Mountain Resort ( https://www.skisugar.com / , and  (2) and Beech Mountain Resort (https:// www.beechmountainresort.com ).  The Group rates for these two ski resorts are on average $10-15 more per ticket than Ober Gatlinburg. They also do not include a lesson.  Please let us know on this year’s order form if you are interested in skiing in snowboarding at either location in 2021.
