×The Feast will be in the seaside town of Margate on the KZN South Coast, South Africa. The location is a beautiful, relaxed, tranquil sub-tropical area benefitting from warm ocean currents.
Services are held in an airconditioned hall with ample parking. Margate is less than a two hour drive south of the King Shaka International Airport in Durban. The Margate airport has a once-a-day direct flight from O.R. Tambo airport in Johannesburg.
Accommodation in the area is mainly self-catering, and Feastgoers are encouraged to stay in the Laguna La Crete complex. This is a safe secure facility, situated on the sea shore and with good sea views from most of the units. If bookings are made early, one can select a unit of one’s choice from an aerial photograph. A separate brochure has been created for this purpose and can be obtained at south-africa.ucg.org. Isella Wallis, office manager, can assist and is available at unitedchurchofgod.sa@gmail.com.
Special rates have been arranged and are in the region of U.S. $75 per day for a three bedroom apartment. It is necessary to state that one is a member of UCG. Laguna La Crete is a five-minute drive from the meeting hall and a shuttle service will be arranged.
Overseas visitors are most welcome and have always enjoyed this Feast site. The value of the local currency means that overseas visitors enjoy incredible buying power with their dollars or pounds. For example, to hire a car costs in the region of U.S. $25 per day. The anticipated 160 attendees will find that the emphasis is on fellowship and togetherness, and this is facilitated by the fact that most Feastgoers will be located in one complex. The Feast begins with a “welcome function,” giving the opportunity for fellowship, and ends with a “farewell barbecue” and a catered lunch between services on the Eighth Day.
Various activities are planned, along with leisurely swimming at the warm water beaches. They include a family day, a seniors lunch, a youth activity and a games evening. Many other places of interest are also within easy reach, including a marine reserve, a game reserve, a crocodile farm, art galleries and a zipline, as well as a variety of restaurants.
