OCTOBER 5, 2016: You can now watch your favorite Beyond Today videos on a new, premium version of our Roku channel. And, as reported earlier, Beyond Today is on Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV. These are currently the top three set-top-video streaming boxes.

These Beyond Today apps are a great, flexible way to access full episodes from Beyond Today television, BT Daily and Beyond Today Bible studies.

Our devices

Roku boxes are the industry leader in set-top streaming devices. Roku delivers programming such as Netflix or Amazon Prime video directly to your television. With Beyond Today’s new premium Roku app, users will be able to add the channel to their device and watch our programs online, anytime. If you already have our app loaded on your set-top box, it will automatically update next time you view our channel.

Amazon Fire TV is one of the leading producers of set-top boxes available, with millions of units sold. It is quickly becoming one of the largest names in online streaming. This gives Beyond Today the chance to reach more of the world with the gospel message.

Our Beyond Today programming on Apple TV uses a very fast, user-friendly interface, giving access to all our media video material and live BT webcasts.

Additional devices now “live” include Samsung smart televisions (running the Orsay software) and almost ready to launch is the Samsung TV running the Tizen software version. More television brands are to follow. The plan is that whenever a person buys a new smart TV or streaming device at their electronics store, they will be able to install our Beyond Today channel right on it.

Adaptive Streaming

We are using adaptive streaming to provide viewers of Beyond Today with a seamless watching experience—regardless of the user’s Internet connection speed. Adaptive streaming checks the speed of your connection and adjusts the video quality “on-the-fly,” so there is no waiting or buffering.

And, not only are pre-recorded programs available, but also whenever we are on the air “live” at Beyond Today you can tune in!

What can I do to help?

If you have a Roku, Amazon or Apple set-top unit, add Beyond Today to your channel listing now. Then, please rate the channel, as this will help other viewers find the channel on the directory. Higher rated channels will show up higher on the directory, so please help today!

Note, we will have two versions of our apps—one that is branded for Beyond Today content, and one that is branded for UCG content (like sermons and webcasts from our congregations where available). The UCG app versions will be developed soon.
