This sermon discusses the origin of Godly love as defined in the scriptures. It first compares human type of love (phileo) to God’s love as described as agape. God’s love is unconditional and is identified in John 3:16 where God gave us His only begotten son to die for mankind. 1Cor. 13 shows us the importance of God’s love above anything else. This sermon goes through a Good News article written in July/August 2001 which outlines the Apostle John as having a extremely close relationship with Jesus Christ and is referred to as an Apostle of Godly love. John lived the life of Godly love as a result of his direct training from Jesus Christ. Then this sermon closes with 5 points on how to implement Godly love in our everyday lives.
