We recently observed Father's Day, a time meant to honor the physical fathers in our lives. However, our societal values have shifted in a way that attacks the family model God designed, particularly the role of the father. Our Heavenly Father gave us a model for fathers in the family for our benefit, and forgetting what His model means can cause unnecessary suffering in the family. Let's look at what God truly intended for the structure of the family.

Len Martin is the pastor of the United Church of God congregations in Cambridge, Columbus, and Mansfield, Ohio. Ordained in 1999, Len has previously served congregations in Worcester, Massachusetts, Seabrook, New Hampshire, Ann Arbor & Lansing, Michigan and Dayton, Ohio. Len also serves as Camp Director for Pre-teen Camp Buckeye.
