If there is such a thing as a “biblical trinity” than it is what Jesus Christ said about the relationship between the Father, the Son, and You. The classical doctrine of the Trinity holds that God is three consubstantial persons or hypostases the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit —as one God in three Divine Persons. There is just one problem with that definition—it is not in the Bible. Martin Luther said, “It is indeed true that the name ‘Trinity’ is nowhere to be found in the Holy Scriptures, but has been conceived and invented by man.”
