The common misconception is that the Sacrificial System was a part of the Holy Days and both were “nailed to the cross” at Christ’s death. In this review we will see that the Sacrificial System and the Holy Days were separate systems, given at different times and for different purposes. The Holy Days are to help us understand God’s plan for the future, the Sacrificial System to teach ancient Israel that there was a penalty for sin and point them to Christ who would pay that ultimate penalty.
