Hello Craig, I strongly believe that Mr. Sexton explained the parameters of wearing Tassels very clearly in his article. But may i quote and then make my own observation? The quote:
"The original scriptural intent behind the fringed garment was to remind the Israelites of God’s commandments to them. They were slaves of sin because, lacking the Spirit of God, their human nature and Satan’s influence caused them to resist doing what was right. God intended they be a model nation for the world to take note of, but they weren’t able to do so for very long—they gave in to the base human instincts we are all very familiar with. But that charge to overcome our nature has now been made possible with the giving of the Holy Spirit. We can now obey from the heart. Paul wrote: “But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness” (Romans 6:17-18). My observation is this: If we have God's Holy Spirit, THAT will lead us into all Truth. We may not be sure of small, incidental, unimportant points but we will be utterly convicted on the big!

Hello Ramith, Although Mr. Myers may reply, i will give a short explanation right now. The resurrection of some (referenced in Matt 27) was a physical resurrection to continued Physical life. The resurrection about Jesus being "the firstborn of many brethren" is a reference to : being a human, dying, and then being resurrected to true and complete Spirit life. Jesus was the first in that regard. If you would like a fuller explanation please ask and we will answer.

Hello Danielle, I was informed by your enthusiastic comment! I had not personally thought about the detailed explanation that you shared with all of us. Perhaps Mr. McNeally knew all these details but I did not. I do remember a part of a scripture: "the truth will make you free." This small, simple statement gives me much hope. Where do I find Truth? I find Truth in God's Word, the Bible. Everything needed to pursue (and be given) Eternal Life is found there. But not every detail is explained in plain English (or Hebrew or Greek.) So I try to read and understand the clear, obvious, almost unmistakable directions that God gives us. And I accept that later, if I remain faithful, God (both Father and Son) will continue to show me explanations (and details) that are not completely understood at this time. God is always faithful !! We should make a real effort to be faithful also. 2 Thess 2: 9--12

Hello Sharlyn, You are obviously very sincere in your belief. So I would not want to argue about that strongly felt belief. But I was a little puzzled about Mary being "the Ark of the Covenant as stated in the Book of Revelation." Could you tell me a little more about that please? The Apostle Peter, great man that he became after receiving God's Holy Spirit was not the one upon which God's true New Testament church was built. That honor belongs to Jesus Himself. But I really would like to know more about Mary being "the Ark of the Covenant, as stated in the Book of Revelation."

Hello Ron, Obviously we all like your comment --- at least the large majority of it. We believe that the universe appears to be very old. And we believe that there was a recreation about 6000 years ago, after Lucifer/Satan messed up. That having been said there are many who believe in a strict, just 6000 year old universe. My thought is, how much of a difference do the details make? What i mean is, are there not many Biblical points that matter a great deal more? Jesus, the Master, and Savior of my life and yours, never, as far as I have been able to ascertain, argued short or long universe but He did absolutely stress certain other points. What else can we discuss? I really want to be there at the first resurrection!

Hello Robert, 4 or 5 years ago my wife and I were keeping the Days of Unleavened Bread with Brethren in Florida. A gentleman who had read our literature had asked the local pastor if he could attend on one of the high days and he did with Tzitzits. They were modest (and I would say, most appropriate.) We talked about them because I was somewhat unfamiliar. The wearing of them is not common (with us) but certainly not a big issue. I hope that sometime you will visit and enjoy our fellowship.

Hello Jake, Your hesitancy is probably a very good thing. Although you may be correct that your friend may think about suicide, what he (or she) needs right now is your friendship. If you are a good friend then show that! Be there and bring that friend into the light of your concern but rather than even going toward that horrible end, instead bring the friend to joy. Take a walk in the sunshine. Visit a playground and watch the kids play. Do something fun. And while you do, let the other know that you care. Something good will come of this.

Hello Richard, I hesitate to say that Jesus was using a metaphor, but He was. The Elias that Jesus was referring to was John the Baptist. John came, made some converts, and then had his head cut off. Some say that we must not simply see "metaphor" in all hard to understand sayings of Jesus. I agree but consider Mark 4: 34 "and without parable He did not speak to them." I think we must sometimes think outside the literal "box."

Hello Stephen Cheng, I believe that Steven Britt has answered you more than adequately but I would like you to think about one possibility that perhaps you have not considered. Who was the God of the OT? Your hypothetical friend seems to view those 2 testaments as separate, radically unique entities. But also sees Christ as Supreme. If Jesus is God as well as Lord, should we not see a much more intimate connection between OT and NT? Who was the God of the OT?

Hello Michael, I believe that you have been given much good information (so that i needn't add to that.) But, since this can be a dialog, i was wondering what you thought. Is God one, or two Beings? It seems to me (without much Biblical proof) that 2 beings, throughout eternity past would make a lot more sense. But beginning with all references to YHVH or the Eternal, in both the Old and Jesus in the New, it appears that there have always been 2 equal Beings. There are numerous Biblical references cited by my colleagues but I just wondered what you think.

Hello Frank, I hope that you will take the time to read and think about each of the scriptures that Lena carefully researched and wrote to you. I will simply add one thought. Mark 4 : 33 and 34 (especially !) explain much: " But without a parable He did not speak to them." Consider this.

Hello Martin, I was thinking we might have met in the past (somewhere, somewhen)? Be that as it may, Lena answered you well! We who answer actually try to do just that: answer. If I recall correctly you are fairly well versed (play on words!) in the Truth. We can all rejoice that God (both Father and Son) continue through inadequate human instruments such as me (Lena is top notch) to help those who are sincerely seeking Truth. Good to hear from you.

Hello DrA77a I believe you are sincere. Give them to Goodwill. (I have a problem with SALVATION Army.) (Sorry, that is my personal problem.) But the fact that you are willing to let them go is appreciated. Like so many other things (like conversion) we are, right now, not going to be able to control how people act or think. No, you are not encouraging Paganism. If your destination is anywhere close to San Diego, come and visit UCG San Diego Services. I'd like to meet you and share a meal.

Thanks Frank, I listened to it all on 9 May 19 For whatever reason, I seem to hear you. So thanks for the review about the US & BC. Now you need to do one explaining how (& why) we will lose all those blessings (and power.) Skip Miller
